Baja Sur Tourist Tax Implemented
Beginning June 2025, all international visitors over the age of 15 who stay more than 24 hours in Baja California Sur — including Los Cabos, La Paz, Loreto, and Todos Santos — are required to pay a 470 MXN (approx. $36 USD) tourism tax and any associated fees. This is subject to Article 129bis of the Baja California Sur State Finance Law.
This mandatory tax supports state infrastructure, environmental sustainability, and public services that benefit both residents and visitors.
