Rideshare services such as Uber and DiDi are not permitted at Los Cabos International Airport with oversight managed by the Mexican National Guard.
Use an authorized taxi, a pre-booked private transfer, a shared shuttle, or a rental car. All of these are available directly outside the terminals.
Getting to Your Final Destination in Los Cabos
Pre-booked transportation before arrival or departure is the closest equivalent to a rideshare: a fixed price agreed in advance and a driver waiting for you when you land. All transportation providers at SJD Airport are licensed with all staff having undergone review and training. All transportation services are pre-paid and no cash payments are allowed. If you are being requested a cash-only payment option please walk away from the provider and report immediately to airport staff or adminstration.
Shared shuttles run to Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo and the resort corridor and are the least expensive option.
*Shared shuttles cannot enter many private communities – you could be left at the security entrance to walk to your rental.
On-demand taxis officially licensed by GAP are available outside customs area in Terminal 2; there is a taxi booth inside Terminal 1 and available curb-side.
